Growing up as a little girl my parents read my brother and I all the Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings books and showed us the movies starting a deep obsession with fantasy at an early age.

For as long as I can remember I have loved so many of the Middle Earth costumes (designed by Ngila Dickson) chief among these was Arwen Evenstars Dying gown.

So in 2022 I decided to embark on the journey of creating my dream fantasy gown.

After months of researching the original gown and sourcing the perfect velvets, silks and lace’s I was finally able to start the construction.

The gown was completed just before Christmas and my dreams of owning Arwen’s dying gown came to fruition.

With it’s simple cut, dramatic sleeves and it’s rich contrast in colour this dress remains one of my favourite movie costumes to this day.
